The Dark Room X The Mixx X Apr 30

Happy May 1! Just woke up from a few too many beers at the Mixx Bistro and sake/sushi at Saketumi.  We checked out our friend Matt's new band, The Dark Room, and to see his newly acquired '68 Gibson bass. The Dark Room shredded last night with covers including the Pixies, the Outfield, the Misfits, the Cure and a few other 80's-90's bands. This was their second gig playing out, which happened to be next door to our favorite Japanese restaurant in Kona, Saketumi. They played like season veterans with a special appearance by Matt's parents who traveled all the way from NJ. It's funny so see hippies dancing like hippies to the Misfits. I wish I had video of the silliness, but there's always next time. Anywho, thank you to all those showed up to support our local music scene.
