The Green Room presented by Organik

Come out come out wherever you are in Kona.

We are pleased to announce the opening of our showroom and art gallery titled the Green Room this Saturday May 30 at 6 pm in the Koloko Business Center just below Costco in Kailua-Kona. The Green Room is a showroom space for the latest Organik collection and gallery for artists. Not only does the Green Room represent earth friendly products, it also means the stand up barrel as all of you surfers might know. We're excited to bring in Brett Surfboards from the North Shore of Oahu. He makes killer shapes for some top pros..We even have one of his "green" boards in a 5'8" fish.

Our soft opening will feature work from Mike Field, Krush, Chance Carpenter, Mike Cerrone & George Hill. Each month the Green Room will give the spotlight to a different artist so keep your eyes open to more. We'll see you at the Green Room this Saturday

Ecolounge = action sports + sustainability

This Friday, May 15 and every third Friday of each month will be ecolounge at the Mixx Bistro in Kailua-Kona presented by Organik. Come out for a little B2B networking from 6 pm - 9 pm with this month's sponsors: Aama Surf & Sport and Recycle Hawaii. party it up with DJ Nubaui and organic/non-organic ales, wines & spirits. There will also be giveaways from Aama Surf & Sport, socializing and dancing so don't forget your dancing shoes. As always there is no cover = FREE so tell your friends.

Freedom Surf Contest in Waikiki

This weekend marks the annual Freedom Surf Contest in Waikiki. Organik is one of the proud sponsors to help in the surf lifestyle event. If you're at the event please snap some photos to share with us as we couldn't be there to support. Happy Mother's Day to all you mom's!

We're Big in Japan

There's a rock star shirt graphic that says "I'm big in Japan." Truth be told, we're not big at all standing at a mere 5'6" with Organik as an "under the radar" indie band, i mean brand. It's safe to say we do have our first retailer in the Orient. Mili Mili Surf is the first Japan account for Organik..Yeah!!!!! I can finally drop some sake bombs at my favorite sushi bar to celebrate and so can you. Kampai!!!!!!

New Press featuring Organik: Glam.com & Essence Magazine

Stoked! Stoked! Stoked! The Press Preview in NYC paid off for us. Brian of Organik went to a NYC Press event last week and Organik made instant fans out of editors and writers from local and national media. Essence.com and Glam.com were the first to feature Organik in their blogs as of late last week. Look for more press with Organik in national publications throughout the summer.
The Threads From the Earth collection was not camera shy last week during the event as photographers were snapping away pics and interviewing Brian. Interestly enough, the media loved our beach bum bag and bamboo scarves. Oops! I leaked out some top secret information so I'm fessing up. The beach bum bag is a perfect companion for your books, mags, sunscreen, beach towel and water as it's part of our recycled line. The bag along with the bamboo scarves will be available on our website shopping link on May 15.
