Rock Out w/ Modest Mouse, Mimicking Birds & Japanese Motors

What a night!!! Rockin out in Philly last night.....Just want to give a shout out to Modest Mouse, Japanese Motors, and Mimicking Birds. This has to go on the top of my list as Best Trio. I was a little dissapointed that I missed most of Japanese Motors, but atleast I've seen them at the Beauty Bar in the past while Organik was in Vegas during Magic. Mimicking Birds played great instrumentals and a peaceful voice to match. Modest Mouse-need i say anything; AMAZING!!

The only dissapointment was the rude people in the crowd. I thought this was the city of Brotherly Love??? People should be more into enjoying the show than being miserable and starting fights! Oh well, after dealing with a few clowns in the crowd, we all decided to watch the show from the bar where people were alot more happy and a little more mature... It's a shame 'cause I was really thinking about trying to get tickets to see Bloc Party there next week. Don't get me wrong, Electric Factory is Great! It's just the dissapointing audience that killed my buzz....

The Airborne Toxic Event in Asbury Park NJ

You've got to love an indie rock show at a small venue in Asbury. The Airborne Toxic Event was better than I could have imagined. Mikel was fighting fevers and laryngitis recently and had to cancel some previous shows during their tour and I was a bit worried for a "no show" but he came through and they played better than ever! They played "sometime around midnight", a new song that's not on their album, and did a little tribute to the Jersey legend - Bruce Springstein.

Anna Bulbrook seemed to be happy when I gave her one of our Carbon Neutral T's! Sorry guys, I didn't have any mens T's. Hope Anna's rockin out in our Organik gear while she's playing the violin! I love the way they jump around from one instrument to the next. You never know who's going to be on the keyboard next!

If you don't know who they are yet; check them out 'cause they're definitely the next band to watch out for this year. Thanks for a great show TATE. Maybe Organik can see you guys when we're back in LA! Oh yeah.... and thanks for the Playlist!

ECOllection at MAGIC | Las Vegas Convention Ctr | Feb 17-19

great times at Magic this go around. low attendance at the show, saw old friends and made new friends as well. on the same note, we got new accounts close to home and abroad. ECOllection is a great venue showcasing earth-friendly brands covering everything from head to toe and accessories.

busy times for Organik before and after Magic. meetings, meetings & more meetings in CA, photoshoots, prep tradeshow booth, drive from L.A. to LV, set up at Magic, move to a different booth, check in at hotel, endure 3 long days at ECOllection, sales, more meetings, pack up, check out, drive back to L.A., fly to HI for more action. Oh, did I mention we squeezed in some fun in Hollywood at Birds & the Griffen in L.V.
