Last but not least look out for your Organik 31 sailboat with Captain Brian Jones or Captain Morris ( if I figure out how to sail), cruising around at a store near you. We need some waves, Have a great summer!!!!

Organik Summer Arrivals

The week of June 15th is when our local stores are getting their next delivery of Organik Clothing. Right Coast in Seaside Park, Lightly Salted Surf Mercado in Asbury Park (on the boardwalk), Tula Boutique in LBI, Brave New World in Point Pleasant, and B&B in Lavallette will have Organik Accessories. We are also starting to show the fall line, which is looking incredible so if anyone is interested in booking an appointment get in touch. So everyone get out to those local stores to get your Organik Gear.

Organik Clothes, Waves, and Summer

Here is Chris Morris, your Organik Rep. just checking in to give everyone our East Coast update. Finally we got that good swell we were all waiting for, with a great overhead south swell, with favorable winds, and finally a water temperature that we don't mind getting beat down in. Everyone was in the water for pretty much two straight days getting barrelled, and finally doing a real bottom turn again (Life is good when the surf gets overhead and offshore). We also kicked off summer with a barbecue at my house, in which I put some blood, sweat, and tears into setting up the patio for a great party spot but don't worry there will be more to come. I want to thank everyone who did come, it was a good way to start off the summer. Then finally, Monday night at JR's we saw our boy Dennis Vosper with his new side project, the band "Killing Legends" blow up the dance floor at JR's. They crushed it with songs from ACDC, the Cult, Joy Division, just to name a few and let me tell you we were all rocking out. It looks like they are going to be there every other Monday, with our local rep. and friend Bret Schilaci blowing up his companies like Nixon and Rhythm as well as myself and Organik sponsoring these nights as well. I will keep you posted on the exact dates, and don't forget to come, it was a great time with good people and a great band. Aloha

Surf Into Summer X Ala Moana Bowls X Honolulu

Super rest and relaxation weekend on Oahu surfing, surfing and more surfing. I flew over to Honolulu Sunday early morning, picked up my rental car, surfboard, Organik team surfer Erik F. and headed over to the west side to surf a secret spot on the leeward side with my Makaha friend, Chris. We scored perfect overhead, board breaking, left hand point break surf with one other soul in the lineup. I like to called this surfbreak "Chris' Reef".

We ate lunch and headed into town. We watched Ala Moana Bowls from the boat harbor and saw head high barreling lefts break across into the harbor. We paddled out just as soon the Surf Into Summer contest ended for the day. Wow did we score with only a dozen people in the lineup. This was my first surf session at the ever popular "Bowls." I knew I had it too good, please pinch me am I dreaming!

Memorial Day Monday was the finals for the Local Motion Surf Into Summer contest. Erik F. went through several rounds to make it into the finals in the Open Men's Longboard division. I entered the the Industry category. My heat was early morning with fun chest high, clean waves. We even had a jet ski tow us out to the lineup. How lucky! I caught a bunch of waves and placed second in my heat which put me directly into the finals.

Erik's longboard finals heat was at noon. Right off the bat, he caught a long peeling wave with a high score. He caught a deep left, pulled into a barrel and got closed out.

The industry heat immediately followed. I got towed out on the jet ski with the rest of the industry finalist which included ex-pros and surf industry representatives from Free Surf, FCS, Lost, DC, Local Motion and Quiksilver. Luckily, we had lots of waves during our heat with the top two waves counted towards to our scores.

The awards ceremony was great with all finalists getting prizes. This contest is mainly for the kids, so they were stoked with trophies and prize bags stuffed with goodies.

Organik got two 4th place finishes in the Longboard and Industry finals. Woooohoooo! Can't wait to do this again next year. Thank you Local Motion for putting on a wonderful event.
